If you are a normal Indian passport holder planning a trip to the Middle Kingdom in 2026, here is the honest update: while China has extended visa-free travel to many countries, Indian normal passport holders still require a visa for both tourism and business.
The good news? The process has matured. It is no longer a manual, consulate-driven experience. It is formalized, efficient, and primarily managed by an outsourced partner.
The Real Cost
A China visa is a significant investment. There is no gratis or on-arrival option for tourist (L) or business (M) visas for normal passport holders.
